The Philadelphia Eagles

Week 8: Ravens @ Eagles

October 31, 2004

Eagles 15
Ravens 10

Yet another close game.  These types of games are ones that will prove vital come playoff time.  This was not a pretty game by any means.  Defense was all over the place in this one.  Both offenses struggled, although the Eagles moved the ball well betwen the 20s.  Once they got into the Ravens red zone, they struggled.  Third downs were another struggle for Philadelphia.  It was field goal after field goal until T.O. made the play of the game.  On a 3rd and goal with the Eagles up 9-3, McNabb hit T.O. about 6 or 7 yards short of the endzone.  Owens caught it, turned, shook off a tackler, then ran around a defender to the endzone.  A great play to wrap up the game.  The Eagles improved to 7-0 on the season and are the only unbeaten team in the NFL.  McNabb went 18-33 with over 200 yards the one TD, and zero interceptions.  Jevon Kearse got 2 sacks to improve on his great season.  I thought Sim played well, as did the rest of the defense.  They will need to get ready though as they take on a tough Steelers team in Pittsburgh next week.

Game Ball(s):

Against the Ravens, Terrell Owens had 8 catches for over 100 yards yet again, including the game winning TD.  He set the tone for the second half and carried the Eagles to victory.  He was incredible.
